Deborrah Allen is a beloved early childhood lead teacher at Desert Marigold School and a lifelong champion of Waldorf education. With a degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and training through the Center for Anthroposophy, LifeWays, and Foundation Studies in Anthroposophy and the Arts, Deborrah brings both depth and heart to her teaching. Her classroom is a place of rhythm, wonder, and gentleness, where young children are seen and nurtured as whole beings .

Deborrah’s connection to Waldorf education spans generations. Her family has long been involved in Waldorf leadership and advocacy across the country, and her grandchildren now attend DMS, continuing a rich tradition of reverence for childhood. Her approach to early education is infused with warmth, intentionality, and joy. She brings that same presence to the board, offering not only her professional expertise but a grounded voice that reminds us of the soul of the school. Her contributions help ensure that the youngest members of our community receive the strongest and most loving foundation possible.
