Dr. Jane Rupard joined our community through family, and we are all the better for it. She is the proud grandmother of 4 current students. Dr. Rupard’s career spans decades of pioneering work in special education across the country. Her expertise includes visually impaired education, emotional disturbance programs, leading special education departments, and entire districts. She has authored publications, served on national advisory panels, and earned state recognition for her service. But what makes her truly special is her enduring heart for students and families who need thoughtful support the most—as evidenced by her return from retirement after 40 years to help DMS strengthen its special education program. She feels blessed to lead an excellent team of teachers, therapists and paraprofessionals.
