Parent Council
Parent Council is Desert Marigold’s Parent-Teacher Organization. We meet monthly and quarterly to support our students’ educational experience, our teachers, and the school as a whole. All individuals in our school community are welcome!

Mission
The Parent Council supports the mission of Desert Marigold School and serves as a collective voice by facilitating communication between the governing bodies, administration, and families. The Parent Council exists to develop strong social bonds by supporting parent education, school activities, active volunteerism, celebrations and special events.

THE HEADS TEAM supports education efforts with teacher appreciation, class reps, and parent education.
THE HEARTS TEAM supports community connection with community exchanges, socials, and by arranging food & drink for many community events.
THE HANDS TEAM supports community participation with volunteer recruitment, community involvement, and campus beautification.
Parent Council Meetings & Events
In the 2024-2025 school year, Parent Council meetings will generally take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8:30am at the Early Childhood benches in front of the main office.

Community Council Events:
Spring Faire
Arts & Crafts – Crafting tables delight children and parents alike as they create handcrafted treasures to keep or to give as gifts. Crafts include sword decorating, nature crowns, candle making, and creating your own tea blend.
Games – Guests can fish for treasure, participate in the cakewalk, or try their hand at a round of archery.
Food & Bake Shoppe – Faire goers can feast on a variety of delicious and healthy meals from local restaurants, along with homemade baked goods and drinks from the Bake Shoppe. Vegan, gluten-free and child-friendly options are available.
Enchanted Tea Garden – Guests can choose from a variety of homemade finger foods and enjoy a bottomless cup of tea in this favored, relaxing spot.
Entertainment – Various performers delight visitors with their musical and performing talents. Be sure to catch the talent on the main stage and keep your eyes open for strolling circus performers and fairies!
Shopping – Stock your home for the new year or fill spring holiday gift lists in our vendor garden and (new this year!) a very special Fairy Room. Designed for the youngest among us to find gifts for loved ones in a magical fairy realm, guided by real fairy helpers!

Gala
Desert Marigold hosts an evening gala every other year. Check back for the next one!
