Director of Student Support Services

Description

The job of the Director of Student Support Services is to oversee the student support needs such as enrollment and curriculum.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise special education teachers. 

  • Supervise the writing and implementation of IEPs. 

  • Review Policy as needed 

  • Oversee Professional Development for Aides and Staff. 

  • Leadership in working with students, staff, parents and the community. Commitment to the concept of collaborative decision making. 

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have background, interest and capacities necessary to support our dedicated teaching staff and build strong relationships with colleagues and parents, as well as the vision, skills, enthusiasm, and patience needed as our new structure evolves into the sustainable and dynamic organism that is intended.

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, AZ Teachers Certification, MA in Special Education or related degree

  • Work experience in public charter education or related fieldValid AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card 

  • Exercise ethical conduct at all times. 

  • Certificate in Waldorf Administration desirable. 

  • Evidence of supporting a collaborative work environment. 

  • AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
